St Ann’s Hospice is a charity providing care and support free of charge to over 3,000 people from Greater Manchester and into Cheshire affected by life-threatening illnesses.

This is provided at our three centres and in people’s own homes. As well as treating physical symptoms through pain relief and symptom control, we also provide support for the emotional, psychological, spiritual and social needs of our patients, their families, children and carers. Only the support of the local community allows us to do this.

It costs around £9 million a year to run St Ann’s Hospice and we receive only about a third of this through government funding from local NHS providers. This means we depend on raising at least £16,000 every day from voluntary donations. 91.2p in every £1 of money raised is spent on the costs of our core services – that is patient care and the services that support it.
