Two special anniversaries led freemasons to raise £725 for St Ann’s Hospice

They were keen to raise money in memory of a relation of a member of the lodge, who passed away in the hospice at Little Hulton in July, after living in Salford for many years.

The family said the nurses and staff at the hospice were like angels, nothing was too much trouble and they catered for her every need.

Freemasons of De Tatton Lodge in Sale, decided to give the proceeds from their 125th anniversary dinner to St Ann’s which is celebrating its 40th year of caring for patients.

The money will go towards the Salford Advertiser media appeal which is raising £120,000 for an in-patient bed and associated care costs at the Little Hulton hospice.
