Local authorities can help with advice, assessments, applying for a blue badge and benefits
Go to whichever of the sites below that council tax is paid to for full information about how your local authority works and the departmental contact details. Social Service departments, for example, can provide
- a list of private care agencies who can be paid to provide care and have been inspected by social services.
- help with applying for a Blue Car Badge.
- help with applying for a council tax reduction related to disability.
- free, confidential advice available from benefit advisors (sometimes called welfare rights officers).
