Can you help by taking a Home Money Cube or Static Collection Box?

It's a humble coin, but here's a penny for your thoughts…

The 1p is facing an uncertain future - apparently
it's actually worth less than the old farthing. And vending machines and parking meters refuse to accept it.

But for some it still has more than just sentimental value - although many see the coin as worthless, charities disagree!

While many no longer give them the time of day, there are some who still believe if you take care of the pennies, the pounds take care of themselves.
For St Ann's Hospice, the humble penny remains as vital as ever.

Thanks to the cumulative power of the penny,
St Ann's raised nearly £50,000 from 600 collection boxes across Greater Manchester last year and
have also tapped into people's compulsion to hoard small change by sending out money cubes to collect loose change at home for the Hospice.

So help the pennies add up to the pounds for St Ann's by:

• If you are a company, having a static collection box in your place of work. When this gets full you can just give us a call and we will come and empty it and replace the box
• If you are an individual, have a cardboard home money cube in your home and when it gets full, count up the money and send us a cheque for the equivalent. Or drop the cube into one of our hospice sites or charity shops. We can send you a replacement cube in the post.
