Who are the Fundraising, Communications and Trading Teams?

Fundraising Team

 

Catherine Impett
Director of Fundraising & Communications

Catherine heads up the St Ann's Fundraising Department, taking on the responsibility for the strategic and business planning of the Department.

Catherine is also responsible for Donor Development and Legacy promotion.

 
 
   
 

Sarah Robertson
PA to the Director of Fundraising & Communications

A mother of two little girls, Sarah has the harder task of co-ordinating meetings for the Director of Fundraising and other team members, taking minutes for meetings and generally organising the department, keeping everyone on the right track.

 
 
 

Melanie Gait
Fundraising Officer

Mel looks after the development of all our younger supporters, from all areas, whether it be a Brownie group, or a University. She organises and runs The Young Volunteer of the Year Campaign, which involves young people aged 8-20 taking part in volunteering tasks and fundraising initiatives in aid of the hospice. As Fundraising Officer, Mel also looks after our In memory supporters, is responsible for the development of the St Ann’s Hospice Tribute Funds and manages the Hospice Care Campaign which includes tea@3 and Go Yellow.

 
 
 

Sandra Monks
Community Events Officer, South

Sandra moved from property developer to work for the National Kidney Research Fund before being transplanted to St Ann's. With Margaret Beck (below), she is responsible for all external challenge events, including the London Marathon, Manchester 10K Run and International Challenges. Sandra also organises St Ann’s community events in the South, including the Hospice to Hospice Walk, Heald Green Garden Party and Jailbreak. She has the task of supporting third Party groups in South Manchester, including Pubs,& Golf Clubs

 
 
 

Margaret Beck
Community Events Officer, North

Margaret is the latest edition to the fundraising team and as she came from working at Cadbury's. She will be responsible for Salford Bike Ride, parachute jumps, Morecambe Bay Walk, Karaoke Challenge and Little Hulton Summer and Christmas Fairs. Margaret will be based in North Manchester and will develop any opportunities from the community.

 
 
 

Pauline Hodkinson
Fundraising Office Co-ordinator

Pauline is responsible for database management for supporters, co-ordinating all mailings, including Friends newsletter and Tree of Lights. Pauline also co-ordinates Collection Boxes and Fundraising volunteers and deals with all General Fundraising enquiries.

 
 
 

Fiona Reed
Fundraising Officer

Fiona's role includes individual giving, the Patron's Scheme and legacies as well as fundraising in the corporate sector.

She speaks French, German and Spanish, and with all these langauages she's bound to find a way the right way to explain how important fundraising is to the Hospice.

 
 
 

Jacinta Massey
Major Events Officer

Jacinta co-ordinates all the major fundraising events. She is responsible for events that can potentially raise more than £10,000, such as the Gala Ball, Ladies Fashion Lunch, Ascot Ladies Day Lunch, Balloon Race and Golf Days. Jacinta also looks after the St Ann's Hospice Festival Choir and supports the Tree of Lights event.

 
 
 

Jane Margetts
Corporate Fundraiser

Jane graduated last year in Sociology and has now joined the St Ann’s Hospice Fundraising Team to take on the task of raising money through companies.

She is also responsible for gaining sponsorship for our major events such as the Ladies Fashion Lunch, Golf Days and Sporting Gala Dinner. We are sure Jane will be a great addition to the team.

 
 

Trading Company

 

Anthony Lord
Trading Company Manager

Anthony Lord spent 13 years as a McDonald's General Manager before making his move into the charity sector to St Ann's. He is responsible for overseeing and developing our chain of charity shops, the Hospice Lottery and merchandise sales.

 
 
 

Pam Senior
Shops Area Manager

Pam has been involved with St Ann's Hospice for 10 years, starting as a volunteer in the charity shops. She is now the Shops Area Manager, which involves making sure the shops run as efficiently as possible, supports the managers and volunteers and co-ordinates the shops promotions. Pam initially trained as a counsellor and teacher before moving into retail.

 
 
 

Brian Goode
Lottery Manager

Brian has been an insurance man, a gent's outfitter, a waiter, toyshop assistant and part time writer. He now co-ordinates the St Ann's Lottery and helps people win £2000 a week...however he accepts no bribes.

 
 

Communications

 

Emma Reynolds
Communications Manager

Emma joins us from a marketing role at Greater Manchester Police to oversee the Communications and Marketing Team here at St Ann's.

Emma is responsible for the communications strategy, as well as media liaison and campaign publicity. She is the Editor of the Friends newsletter which is distributed to supporters of the Hospice, and also writes content for any other internal or external publications.

 
 
 

Jenny Watts
Publications Officer

Jenny is responsible for the 'look' of
St Ann's, every poster, leaflet, internal publication, ticket, invite, brochure and programme gets her designer touch, helped by her extensive range of computer technology. She also designs this website.

 
 

 

Olivia Hemmings
Marketing Assistant

Olivia is the newest member of the team and is responsible for all marketing activities for the Institute for Learning and Development, with particular emphasis on the co-ordination of all aspects of conferences held at St Ann’s.

This means she has to publicise the conference suite, be a tour-guide by showing potential clients the features of the facilities, then over-see the smooth-running of the event on the day.

Olivia is also involved in researching new leads for the conference facilities and the activities of the Institute, to raise their profiles both internally and externally.
