| The inaugural Midnight
Walk, starting at the Marriott Hotel in Worsley was a great success and
attracted 250 enthusiastic walkers. Dressed in all sorts of inventive
costumes, our supporters completed the 6 mile route in style! |

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in Go Yellow 2006, you all helped us to raise a fantastic £25,000. From custard pie battles to art exhibitions to balloon races - every type of event was turned Yellow. Go Yellow takes place each June so if you would like to start thinking

This summer, St Ann’s Hospice celebrated its landmark 35th anniversary with a spectacular concert of symphonic rock music from the legendary band, Queen. Accompanied by a stunning pyrotechnics display, West End International
combined singers, backing vocalists, a six-piece rock group and full symphony
orchestra to perform 23 of Queen’s greatest hits, including: Bohemian
Rhapsody, A Kind of Magic, Radio Ga-Ga, Crazy Little Thing Called Love,
Killer Queen and We Are The Champions. |
| 3 Lions Sporting Dinner |

1966 World Cup legends, Sir Geoff Hurst, Gordon Banks and Martin Peters,
teamed up with St Ann’s Hospice for a spectacular one-off sporting
gala dinner. Hosted at Manchester United’s Old Trafford ground on
Wednesday 26th April, the black tie event - sponsored by O2 and Sellick
Partnership - kicked off with a drinks reception in United’s football
museum followed by a sumptuous three course dinner. Superb entertainment
was provided by Jeff Stelling from Sky Sports Gillette Soccer Saturday,
who interviewed the three Lions ‘Parkinson-style’. |
| Abseil - Velodrome |

St Ann’s challenged more than 150 daredevils to face their fear of heights and abseil 120ft to raise money for the Hospice. Not even a bitterly cold February morning could deter the nimble footed thrill-seekers! In total the abseil is expected to raise a fantastic £15,000. St
Ann’s is now recruiting for willing volunteers to raise sponsorship
to take part in this summer’s Zip Line Challenge on June 24th at
Baitings Dam. All you need is your sponsorship money and plenty of adrenalin!
