One in three of us will have cancer at some point in our lifetime and for those of us under the age of 65, one in three will not survive. Cancer related conditions account for 95% of all hospice admissions.

For over 30 years St Ann's Hospice has been caring for people living with life-threatening illnesses, whilst supporting their families and carers. We provide physical, psychological, social and spiritual care when people are seriously ill, to help them achieve the best quality of life.

St Ann's cares for over 3,000 people each year free of charge across three sites in Greater Manchester at Heald Green, Little Hulton and Wythenshawe. This costs over £8 million each year of which only a third is provided by the Government, leaving £16,000 per day to be raised from voluntary income.

We can only provide our services because people care enough to support the Hospice. As a registered charity, St Ann's Hospice must raise around 70% of its income - that's around £16,000 every day - from voluntary contributions. St Ann's Hospice relies heavily on legacies to provide its services.

  • A Gift left in a Will (a legacy) helps St Ann's Hospice to continue its commitment to providing the highest standards of care to patients, families and carers and can help us to develop our services further.
  • St Ann's Hospice relies on Gifts in Wills for around 20% of the money it needs each year to keep its doors open to support the local community.
  • A Lasting Tribute Fund can also be set up in memory of a loved one by leaving a Gift in your Will to St Ann's Hospice in their name, eg. the 'John Smith Tribute Fund'.
