Volunteer in one of our charity shops

We raise thousands of pounds from our Charity Shops each year, which is then put towards funding patient care at each of our hospice sites. This is made possible by the work and commitment of our shop volunteers.

Do you have a passion for fashion? Is retailing your thing? (customer service, pricing stock, working the till) or perhaps you have an eye for design? (arranging shop and window displays).

Each of our charity shops has a committed team of volunteers, working along side a paid manager. Without the help and support of our volunteers, we would not be able to run our shops and we are very grateful for everyone who donates their time and skills.

There are many different roles that are covered by volunteers in each of our shops. These include;

  • Accepting donations
  • Sorting
  • Steaming
  • Pricing
  • Window displays, Merchandising
  • Serving customers
  • Promoting the Hospice
  • General Housekeeping
  • CD, DVD and book organisation

And we also need drivers for;

  • Collection and Delivery of Furniture
  • Movement of donations between shops
  •  Distribution of new stock
