Roadrunner

Running fanatic Yvette Halsall, an Auxiliary Nurse at St Ann’s Hospice, Heald Green, gives an insight into life on the road in the build up to the big one, the London Marathon (April 26).

“I got hooked three years ago and I did the Wilmslow Half Marathon this year and last year. I find running so meditative. I meet loads of people in my running club and I run on my own and with friends for a change of scenery. It’s tough training for an event. On bad days you think ‘why?’ and then you remember you are raising such important money.”
