About our charity shops

Find out what kind of items we sell in our shops, how you can donate goods to us and how we would like to thank you for being a loyal St Ann’s shopper!..

St Ann’s Hospice currently has 12 shops; the aim of these is to provide a regular and sustainable source of income that supports the good work of St Ann’s Hospice, Greater Manchester’s local charity and only adult hospice.

To us, our shops are the public face of the Hospice and bring the good work done there into the heart of all our communities. We sell a wide range of donated and new good to local people and it is the generosity of our supporters through their donations and purchases that enable the shops to provide over £130,000 a year of vital funding for the Hospice.

We believe our shops should reflect the same high standards of excellence and professionalism that is found in the Hospices and to this end we try to provide all our supporters with the most attractive shopping experience possible whilst keeping our prices low. We want you to be able to find a bargain but enjoy your shopping at the same time!

At St Ann’s Hospice we pride ourselves in offering a wide variety of items at the best possible price – visit one of our shops today, you don’t know what you might find!

What do we sell?

Our shops sell a wide variety of donated items that include;

Ladies, Men’s and Children’s clothing
Shoes, Handbags and accessories
Books, CDs, DVDs and Videos
Good quality Bric-a-Brac
Toys and Games
Furniture and Electrical items
Wedding Dresses
New Silver Jewellery and Giftware.

We are always in need of good quality donations in all our shops. Please try to donate any items to the shops themselves during opening hours or contact the shops directly for help on collections. Please be aware that not all our shops operate a collection service. We are very grateful to all those who continue to donate to our shops but due to the restrictions imposed on waste and our duty of care in ensuring that waste is removed safely, we ask you to please make sure that all your donations of non-clothing items are in good condition, not broken and meet with Trading Standards compliance. We can accept clothing in any condition as we can still raise funds from damaged and worn out items.

Loyalty card

At St Ann’s Hospice, we have introduced a Shop Loyalty Card as a way of saying ‘thank you’ to our regular customers. Simply visit one of our shops and sign up today. Once you have received your card you can start collecting stamps straight away.

One Loyalty Card stamp will be issued for every full £5 spent or multiples thereof (excluding new goods).

A full Loyalty Card with 10 complete stamps can be redeemed for a £5 discount on the next purchase of donated goods valued at £5 or more.

Be aware

Sadly, there are occasionally people who operate bag drops, either masquerading as a charity and asking for your donations or who steal filled charity bags from people’s doorsteps. Currently, St Ann’s do not operate door to door collections. If you are in any way suspicious about anything regarding collections then please either call the police or contact Pam Senior on 07957 642988.
