As someone who was also born in 1971, I’d like to wish St Ann’s Hospice all the best as it celebrates 40 years of caring for people in their time of greatest need. The work that they do is priceless and because of the generosity of local people, it is offered free of charge. Do what you can to help St. Ann’s continue to offer the love, support and medical care that is so cherished by those who need it.Clare Balding

We need your donated goods
Donating your pre-loved goods to St Ann’s Hospice makes a huge difference to our patients and their families.
Where to take your items
Any one of our charity shops would be delighted to receive any donated goods – we would respectfully ask however that you take these during opening hours and do not leave bags outside the shops when they are closed.
We also have donation stations outside at our Heald Green and Little Hulton hospices which can take clothing, shoes and smaller items.
If you have any large or bulky items that you can’t transport to a shop or donation station, please get in touch with St Ann’s directly and we can arrange to come and pick them up from your house.
Rags to riches!
We make around £85,000 on rags in just one year! Any clothing, bedding, linen or other material-based goods that you think are not suitable for us to sell in the shops but you’d still like to donate...we can get money for. They are known as ‘rags’ and all the money raised from these, like from purchases made in our shops, go directly towards patient care.
So if you are not sure whether your clothes can be re-sold - donate them anyway!
Electrical items
St Ann’s Hospice will accept all electrical items, from small kitchen appliances to alarm clocks, hairdryers to televisions. Each item will then be PAT tested (Portable Appliance Tested) for safety before being put into our charity shops to be sold.
You can donate furniture
If you have a large or bulky item of furniture that you wish to donate that simply won’t fit in your car or is too cumbersome to deliver to our furniture shop, please contact us on freephone 0800 612 4679 and we will arrange to come to your house and collect. It’s as simple as that!
