Patients with cancer-related fatigue (CRF) will often describe their fatigue as the worst aspect of all of the cancer treatment and experience. Additionally they may find that it persists for weeks, months and even years. Although the condition is acknowledged by the medical profession there is little education treatment and support for these patients and their carers.
This course will offer a practical approach to the screening, assessment and management of this distressing symptom, enabling health care professionals to support their patients more effectively. It also aims to raise awareness of cancer-related fatigue and encourage development of treatment and support services.
Who should attend
Eligibility Criteria includes Doctors, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Complementary Therapists, Macmillan Nurses, Dieticians, Psychological Support Staff, and any staff working in a rehabilitation setting.
Course fee includes light lunch and refreshments.
