Ways to Volunteer at St Ann's Hospice

In the Hospice

Serving drinks, sandwiches and confectionery at the coffee shops
Manning the reception desk in evenings and weekend
Gardening
Flower Arranging
Working in Day Therapy as a host or hostess, or helping
as a craft leader alongside nursing staff
Driving patients from home to the Hospice, and home again
General Ward Volunteer

Fundraising

St Ann's Hospice must raise £15,500 a day through voluntary contributions. You could help the fundraising team by:

Carrying out administrative and/or clerical work
Helping with mailings
Distributing leaflets
Helping at street collections
Manning stalls at charity shows and carnivals
Gathering items for stalls, donating crafts, making cakes etc for sale
Being part of one of our local Support Groups
Picking-up and replacing collection boxes and stock (mileage paid)
Collecting Lottery subscriptions
Helping to introduce business contacts to help with fundraising activities

St Ann's Hospice has nine charity shops which are run by volunteer staff, under the direction of a manager.

Duties include:

Serving behind the counter
Sorting and pricing clothes
Maintaining stock control and aiding stock rotation
Helping create window displays
Pick up donations from homes
