It’s Time for Tea

Afternoon tea, office tea, builder's tea or a G&T- no matter your preference, host a tea party this autumn and help us support people with life-limiting illnesses

By News Team on September 4, 2018

We are asking people to put the kettle on this autumn to help people with cancer and non-cancer life-limiting illnesses across Greater Manchester.

We are holding our Time for Tea campaign during Hospice Care Week, which runs from 8th-14th October, and we are asking local people to invite their friends, family and colleagues around for a brew to raise much-needed funds.

St Ann’s is a charity and we need to raise around £20,000 every day to continue providing our services to patients and their loved ones. As you can imagine, that’s a difficult task, but local people are always so incredibly generous with their support. Our Time for Tea fundraising campaign is the latest way people can get involved in helping us to raise money, and it’s a simple one too. We’re encouraging people to make a brew for their neighbours, catch up with colleagues over a cuppa, or take time out with their friends, in exchange for a donation to the hospice. Every penny raised will help us to support the local patients we care for. Eamonn O'Neal, Chief Executive

We are asking local community groups, schools, churches, businesses, families and friends to host a tea party, a cake sale or a bake-off in a bid to raise funds. To help make your cup of tea that extra bit special, we have produced a special information pack complete with posters, invitations, quiz sheets, bunting and recipes, which you can get your hands on by contacting our fundraising team.
