St Ann’s at Easter time

Eamonn with the Easter Bunny

It feels like only a matter of weeks since the Christmas decorations were packed away, but as Spring approaches and the flowers start to bloom, we can see that Easter is already just around the corner.

Easter is always a fun time at the hospice, with our day care teams decorating our buildings with amazing art and carrying out special creative therapies with patients.  We also don’t need much of an excuse to get out the cakes and treats, and our catering teams go above and beyond with their delicious creations for our patients, families, staff and volunteers.

It’s also a time when lots of local people choose to support the hospice, either by making donations in lieu of buying Easter Eggs, or by running their own fundraising events.  This year, we have developed a brand new activity pack, complete with lots of ideas on how groups or individuals can support St Ann’s at this time of year.  It’s eggcellent, even if I do say so myself…

So, if you’re trying to be healthy this year, or are simply happy to help us provide specialist care to local people, right when they need us most, please do consider supporting us this Easter.

You can make a donation on our website by visiting www.sah.org.uk/donate.  Just £5.60 donated to the hospice could help us keep our drinks trolley stocked for patients to enjoy, and £10.85 could help us continue providing TVs and wifi for ward patients.  Every penny really does make a difference to the quality of life of the local people we care for, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support.
