St Ann’s Donation Drive-Thru Day
Declutter with ease with our Donation Drive-Thru days that allows you to recycle your unwanted goods.
People with homes brimming with boxes of items accumulated during lockdown decluttering sessions will be able to create some much-needed space, thanks to the return of our popular Drive-Thru Donations day.
Though ‘drive-thru’ is usually a concept people apply to food and drinks, but we have taken the in-car concept one step further, as people recycle their unwanted goods in a new and innovative way.
In recent months, we have run several drive-thru days at our distribution centre, with each proving so popular that hundreds of donations were made in just a few hours. On Saturday 10th October we’ll be hosting another Drive-Thru, in response to demand from people right across Greater Manchester.
Amanda Brooks, head of the Trading Company, said:
We’ve had lots of feedback saying that these drive-thrus are the perfect way for people to declutter or recycle their unwanted furniture, clothing and other items, especially these days when everyone is so busy and might not be able to make it to their high street charity shop. People can simply drive up to our distribution centre in Reddish on 10th October, any time between 10am and 12noon, and leave their goods with our friendly team. It’s a really easy to find location, just off the M60, so a quick and convenient solution if you’re trying to make space at home before Christmas. As well as being good for the environment to recycle your pre-loved goods in this way, it also means we can sell them to raise vital funds for local patients too. St Ann’s Hospice has been hugely impacted by the pandemic, and our nurses and doctors are working hard on the front line to ensure that our patients and their families get the specialist care they need. They can only do that thanks to the money raised from fundraising activities, or items sold in our high street or online shops, so we’re hugely grateful to everyone who makes a donation. The Drive-Thru Donations day will be taking place on Saturday 10th October, at St Ann’s Hospice’s Distribution Centre, Bankfield Industrial Estate, Unit A1, Coronation Street, Reddish, SK5 7SE, and drivers can drop by any time between 10am and 12noon.
