New year, new you?
Now that the festivities are over and we have entered the new year, there is no better time to get on top of the life admin that you may have been putting off...

Are you determined to get on top of your life admin in 2024? Now that the festivities are over, is January the time to start ticking off some of those tasks on the to-do list and get sorted for the new year? Here at St Ann’s, we are here to help. We have various opportunities and resources below to make your life a little easier.
Recycle your Christmas tree
Not sure what to do with your tree now that Christmas is over?
We have partnered with the charity JustHelping, who will collect and recycle your Christmas tree in return for a welcome donation to the Hospice.
Register your tree for collection via the JustHelping website, and our volunteers will pick up your tree between 11th and 14th January 2024.
Free furniture collection
Out with the old, in with the new… If you have furniture you’d like to donate to our charity shops, we can provide a free collection service, so you have one less problem to think about!
All details relating to donations and the collection form can be found here.
Clothing donations
New year, new wardrobe? If the new year has spurred you on to have a clear out and you’re wondering what to do with your unwanted clothes, we’d welcome your donations at one of our many charity shops in and around the Manchester area.
Visit our ‘Donating Goods‘ page for further details.
Payroll giving
Have you been thinking about setting up a regular charitable donation? Did you know Payroll giving is a tax-efficient scheme that allows employees to give more for less? You can set up regular donations to our hospice through your payroll before tax.
Payroll giving is simple to set up, tax-efficient, and provides businesses with the chance to improve their social responsibility; all while providing the hospice with reliable and consistent donations, allowing us to better plan ahead to provide care to our patients.
Check if your company offers payroll giving or tell them about it and encourage them to sign up.
Our guide to payroll giving can be found here.
Free Will-writing service
Getting around to writing a Will is something that can stay on the to-do list for a long time, but it is so important for everyone to make one. This March is Will Month, so it is the perfect time to get sorted. Local solicitors will be waiving their Will-writing fees when you donate to St Ann’s. Details of how you can book an appointment during Will Month can be found here.
