Support St Ann’s and be in with the chance to win £5,000 this summer
We have opened our Summer Raffle 2024, don’t miss out on the chance to enter and win big!

You could be in with the chance to win the top prize of £5,000 and be able to help us to care for patients and their loved ones in their time of need.
James Humphries is a Cross-Site Charge Nurse at the hospice. James says: “I’ve been at St Ann’s Hospice for over a year, first working as a Staff Nurse in the Inpatient Unit before recently taking on a new position as Cross-Site Charge Nurse. This means I work across the Inpatient Units at both our hospices as one of the senior nurses looking after our patients.
“It’s a demanding role and a lot of responsibility, but it’s a privilege to be able to look after people in their last days and hours – as well as their families. We make sure that they are all as comfortable as possible.
“I came into palliative care because it’s what I’m passionate about. At St Ann’s, that care is holistic and based around what the patients want. We have conversations about what matters most to them and help them to make this a reality in the last days of life.
“We can have up to 18 patients at a time at one site, all with different diagnoses and different needs, and we care for their families and loved ones too.
“We couldn’t do this without your support. St Ann’s provides this excellent care free of charge to those who need it, but we rely on fundraising and donations from our community to continue.”
Could you help St Ann’s Hospice this year by entering the Summer Raffle? Tickets are just £1 each, and with £5,000 up for grabs you can get your tickets online now at www.sah.org.uk/raffle. You can also buy them at St Ann’s charity shops around the Stockport borough.
The closing date for entering the raffle is Sunday 4th August, with the raffle being drawn on Wednesday 14th August, and winners will be notified and details placed on their website.
I hope you’ll join in to support us by buying as many tickets as you can. On behalf of everyone at the hospice, our patients, and their families, thank you once again for your support – and good luck! James Humphries, Cross-Site Charge Nurse
