Ho ho ho! Christmas is only around the corner! As part of the holiday season, the Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee are organising a festive afternoon tea for all the family to enjoy!

The event, hosted on behalf of St Ann’s Hospice will see plenty of sweet treats to pair with your tea or coffee. It will also give those in the festive mood a chance to visit Santa’s Grotto and will offer a scavenger hunt for the children.

Organiser for the festive afternoon tea and member of the Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee, Gwyneth Viney said the event is being organised to spread some festive cheer while also raising some much-needed funds for ongoing care at the hospice.

The care that patients receive at St Ann’s is second to none and we are really proud of it here in our community. It would be brilliant if the people in our community were able to come together for this event on behalf of an incredible cause and enjoy some festive fun at the same time Gwyneth Viney, Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee Member

St Ann’s Hospice receives approximately a third of its funding from the NHS, the rest of the money required to operate both hospices comes from community support.

Lucy Green, Fundraising Manager at St Ann’s Hospice thanked the Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee for organising the Festive Afternoon Tea.

“Events like the festive afternoon tea at Little Hulton mean the world to us here at St Ann’s Hospice. They are vital for the cost of our ongoing care at both of our sites. We can’t thank the Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee enough for their continued hard work,” Lucy said.

The hospice needs to raise approximately £20,000 every day to keep the doors open and to ensure that the patients who walk through our doors receive the best care possible.

The event will be held at St Ann’s Hospice in Little Hulton on Saturday, November 16th from 12pm to 3pm, with the two tea sittings starting at 12pm and 1.30pm. There will also be a raffle and a tombola on the day.

Tickets for the event cost £10 each for adults or children over 12, £5 for children over five and under 12, and children under five are free but still need to register. You can register for the event on the St Ann’s Hospice website.
