Make your Will for free this March: Local solicitors will be waiving their fees in return for a donation to St Ann’s Hospice.
Will Month 2024 has now ended. Thank you to those who took part and helped to support the hospice.
No one knows what the future holds, and life-changing moments can happen when you least expect them. Making a Will and letting your family and friends know your wishes is vital, and it can be a lot more affordable and straightforward than you may think.
A number of local solicitors will be waiving their fees in return for a donation to St Ann’s Hospice as part of Will Month this March 2024.
Making a Will means you can make sure that all the people you care about are provided for and your wishes will be fulfilled. You gain peace of mind and knowledge that your wishes will be carried out, and you’re also supporting your local hospice to provide much-needed specialist care to people in our community.

We thought it might be complicated, but it was all quite simple and we chose a local solicitor who kindly gave his time for free in exchange for a suggested donation to the hospice. Follow these simple steps to take part
1. Register your interest
Register your interest now using the form at the bottom of this page and we’ll send you an email with all the information you need, including a full list of participating solicitors.
2. Make an appointment and turn your wishes into a Will
Choose a solicitor and make an appointment, stating you would like to take part in St Ann’s Hospice Will Month. At your appointment you will discuss your situation and preferences, then they will then draft your Will accordingly. It does not have to be completed before the end of Will Month.
3. Make a donation
After your appointment, make a donation to St Ann’s Hospice by cheque, online or over the phone. The recommended amounts are a lot lower than what you would usually pay. Your solicitor will be able to take your donation at your appointment if you wish.

Leaving a gift to St Ann’s in your Will
Did you know that nearly a third of our donated income comes from people kindly leaving a gift in their Will? There’s no obligation, but if you choose to do so, just 1% of your estate would make a huge difference to St Ann’s and the care we are able to provide for local people affected by life-limiting illnesses.
We’ve also left a gift to the hospice in our Will; a legacy is our way of paying them back for all the care and support I’ve had and we know it costs a lot of money to run the hospice. Julie, St Ann's Hospice supporter
