Light up a Life online service

Join our service here at 7pm, Thursday 9th December.

Our service will stay online from this date, for you to watch at a time you choose.

You’re invited to join our appeal and dedicate a light to acknowledge all that we’ve been through, the people and things close to our hearts we’ve lost and the memories which we’ll treasure.

Make a dedication online and add a light to the Winter Forest, along with a photo of a loved one, a message or a memory.

If you have any questions about the Light Up A Life Appeal or your dedication, please contact our fundraising team on 0161 498 3631 or supporter@sah.org.uk.

Bereavement support

Many of us welcome talking to others when a person who is close has died – and usually rely on friends and family. But sometimes it can help to talk to someone who is not so closely involved. This is where we can help.

Forget Me Not Service – Little Hulton

We will be holding the Forget Me Not services at both our Little Hulton and Heald Green hospices on Saturday 8th June in our beautiful gardens. The services are open to everyone as an opportunity for reflection and celebration of the lives of loved ones.

The Little Hulton hospice event will take place at 10am.

What to expect

This year the services will be led by the In-Memory and Legacy Fundraiser and supported by our Patient and Family Support Team. Guests are invited to join us for some refreshments as well as the service, which will include songs from the choir, a poem, and a moment of reflection where you can place a decoration on the tree in memory of your loved one.

If the British weather doesn’t permit holding the service outside, it will be held indoors in the hospice’s Being You Centre.

How to attend

If you would like to attend either of these special events, please indicate this when you join the appeal and make a dedication on the online Memory Meadow, or call us on 0161 498 3631.
