The Great Manchester Run is a highlight of our events calendar each year. It’s an epic 10K or half marathon challenge and amazing way to support St Ann’s.
Unfortunately, this year’s Great Manchester Run has been cancelled in light of the current situation and social distancing rules. We know how disappointing this is, but we understand this decision has been made to help keep everyone safe.
But there are still many ways you can join #TeamStAnns. You can take part in your own 10K or push yourself to run your own half-marathon. You can also register your interest to run the Great Manchester Run for us next year.
The event day is only part of the challenge. Although this year’s event is cancelled, it doesn’t mean your challenge has to be over. We need your support now more than ever.
Every kilometre run and pound raised for St Ann’s will make an incredible impact at this challenging time.
- Raising £200 could pay for a member of our community team to visit a patient in their home.
- Raising £300 could pay for a patient to attend a day therapy session.
If you complete the 10k or half marathon distance any time between now and when the event was due to take place (Sunday 6th September), you’ll be sent your event medal to celebrate your dedication, training and achievement. You can find out more about how to claim your medal on the Great Manchester Run website.
So whether you’ve got your place already, want to take on your own challenge or are interested in taking part next year, we’d love you to join Team St Ann’s.
Join Team St Ann’s and you’ll get loads of perks, including:

Team St Ann’s charity place
If you’ve already registered for a St Ann’s Hospice charity place, we’ll automatically transfer your place to 2021. A member of the team will get in touch with you directly in the coming weeks to let you know our plans for this year and discuss any questions you might have.
Your support means so much to us, and we know you’ve already put time and effort into training for this year’s event. So we’d encourage you to still complete your challenge and run 10k or a half-marathon distance to help raise money for St Ann’s.
If you’re interested in securing a charity place for the Great Manchester Run 2021, you can fill in the form below and we’ll get back in touch with you.
