Hospice volunteer roles
We're currently reviewing our hospice site volunteer roles, but we especially need volunteers in our shops and fundraising.

We’re currently reviewing our hospice volunteer roles, in line with coronavirus and clinical guidance.
If you’d like to get involved and support the hospice, we urgently need volunteers in our shops across Greater Manchester. Find out more about our shop volunteering opportunities.
Volunteer role examples
We’re looking forward to being able to welcome more of our amazing volunteers back to our hospice sites when it’s safe to do so. Here’s just a few of our volunteer roles:
Reception desk
Covering the front desk in the evenings and at weekends.
Gardening
Looking after the lawns and flowerbeds on the hospice grounds.
Shop volunteers
Welcoming and serving customers, sorting donations and keeping our displays looking great.
Furniture van assistants
Helping our van drivers to collect and transport furniture items across Greater Manchester.
Fundraising volunteers
Come and join our fantastic team of friendly fundraisers. Make new friends and see first-hand the difference you can make to local people who are living with life-limiting illnesses.
The Coffee Shop
When we re-open our coffee shops, volunteers will be selling hot and cold drinks and snacks to patients, visitors and staff.
The Being You Centre
As we’re developing our service, we’re reviewing our volunteer roles in The Being You Centre and what they may include.
Complementary Therapies
Trained therapists who can deliver therapies to our patients and carers.
