Betty’s story
Betty has volunteered at St Ann’s for the last 45 years.
Betty has volunteered in many different areas of the hospice, including volunteering on the wards, driving to collect day care patients and working in day care. She has also been involved with different fundraising activities, taken part in plays that were put on at the hospice and was once the back end of a pantomime cow!
It has been a privilege to witness the skill and devotion of the staff and, like many other volunteers, to become a member of such a great, caring team. As a volunteer, from walking through the door at St Ann’s you experience great warmth and friendship from everyone, you are accepted and welcomed.
