Employee Assistance Programme

Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) are employee benefit programmes which help employees deal with personal problems which may affect their health and wellbeing. At St Ann’s, all employees have access to an EAP through the provider Care First.

These services include:

• Access to telephone and online counselling services available 24/7 and up to six face to face counselling sessions per issue
• Access to Expert advisors, trained by Citizens Advice who can provide comprehensive answers and assistance on a wide range of issues
• Access to an interactive wellbeing platform

Free eye tests

St Ann’s has partnered with Smart Employee EyeCare (SEE), which is an online eye care voucher provider.

Health cash plan

St Ann’s currently uses Simplyhealth as our Health Cash Plan Provider. More information can be found on their website.

Mental Health First Aiders

Mental Health First Aiders are trained members of staff at St Ann’s, but they are not a trained counsellors or psychotherapists. They can provide confidential listening and signposting.

Credit Union

Credit Unions offer a responsible alternative source of savings and loans. They are local co-operatives run by and for the benefit of members.

St Ann’s have signed up with both Stockport Credit Union and Salford Credit Union.

Cycle to work scheme

Employees can apply for a cycle to work package (bike and/or safety accessories) up to £1,000.

Hospice staff and volunteers can get exclusive deals from hundreds of brands through health service discounts.

Subsidised hot meals

At St Ann’s Little Hulton and Heald Green sites, employees and volunteers are able to order hot food at a subsidised rate.
