An exciting opportunity has arisen following a review of the leadership structure of Clinical Services.

A new position of Deputy Head of Clinical Services has been introduced, reporting to the Head of Clinical Services and CQC Registered Manager.

The post holder will work within the policy framework of the hospice in the provision of specialist palliative and supportive care by ensuring that the work of clinical services meets the aims and objectives of the organisation.

  • Can you demonstrate experience in leading and managing teams?

Contract: We are pleased to be able to offer this post as a part-time permanent position

Salary: St Ann’s Hospice Band 8a, Competency Based Framework, £50,952-£57,349 pro rata per annum.

Working pattern: 22.5 hours per week over 3 days.

Based at:  Cross Site

Deputy Head of Clinical Services (Internal Only)

Locum Specialist Doctor in Palliative Medicine

Full Time or Part Time

(6 -10 Programmed Activities including on call)

6 month Fixed Term Contract – available from August 2017.

Our Heald Green site has a 27 bedded In-patient Unit and also provides Day Therapy Services.  The post is supported by Consultants in Palliative Medicine, an Associate Specialist and team of Medical Officers, Specialist Registrar’s, Specialty Trainees and Foundation Year 2 doctors.

A vacancy has arisen because of non-recruitment to a 6 month rotational GPST post at the hospice.

Applicants must be fully registered with the GMC, ideally have a minimum of 4 years post-registration training, some of which must be in a relevant speciality (including General Practice).  The post offers excellent experience and training in palliative medicine for those doctors interested in palliative medicine either as a career or for professional development.

Salary will be based on appropriate NHS scales, according to qualifications and experience.

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring check, the cost of which is covered by the hospice.
