Supporters from local businesses, individuals and volunteers from the hospice joined together at the Palace Hotel for the annual St Ann’s Hospice Ladies’ Fashion Lunch event, which was hosted by broadcaster and business woman Chelsea Norris.
The fundraiser, which was sponsored by Brewin Dolphin, included a fashion show featuring Autumn Winter collections from Nadine Merabi and Fizz Fashion, and guest speaker Geraldine Hurd from Betty and Belle – a lingerie business set up to give ladies who have undergone breast surgery the best possible shopping experience.
Attendees enjoyed a three course lunch and took part in a range of fundraising activities, including a raffle and silent auction to raise money for the hospice.
The Ladies’ Fashion Lunch has been a key event in the St Ann’s fundraising calendar since 2003 and has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds in that time.
As a local charity, it’s always amazing to see the support given to the hospice by people from right across Greater Manchester. Only a third of our funding comes from the NHS, so every penny raised at events like this one makes a huge difference to the thousands of patients and their families we support each year. We simply couldn’t carry on caring for them without the generosity of those who kindly donate to St Ann’s and attend events like the Ladies’ Fashion Lunch, so a huge thank you to everyone who came along to this fabulous afternoon. Eamonn O’Neal, Chief Executive of St Ann's Hospice
