Trustees help to govern the hospice and ensure the best possible care for our patients.

As many of you will know, our hospice cares for thousands of people with cancer and other-life-limiting illnesses every year from our three sites in Little Hulton, Heald Green and the Neil Cliffe Centre in Wythenshawe Hospital.  We’re one of the oldest adult hospices in the country, and we’re looking to expand our board of directors.

Christine Gibbons, our hospice Chair of Trustees, explained: “Our board is made up of volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds, all extremely experienced in their fields, and all able to bring different skills and knowledge to the table.

“It’s an extremely exciting time of change and growth at the hospice, and we’re hoping this latest addition to the team will offer strategic guidance and help us to continue to ensure the hospice has the best possible levels of governance.

“St Ann’s is such an important part of the communities it serves, and it seems that most people know someone who has benefited from its services.  I’m proud to be part of such an amazing team, and look forward to welcoming this new member to join us too.”

Any accountants interested in joining our board, should hold a CCAB qualification and have experience working at a senior level.  They should also have specific experience of strategic financial management and budget setting in a large organisation.
