Get in the festive spirit at our Winter Fairs

This November, we're holding two family-friendly Winter Fairs in Greater Manchester to celebrate the festive season

This year’s Winter Fairs will help you prepare for Christmas in style, whilst raising valuable funds for local hospice patients.

Everyone is welcome at the events, which promise to be a real feast of family fun, with mince pies, mulled wine, gift stalls, tombolas, festive entertainment and of course a visit from Santa too.

Previously the fairs took place at our hospice sites in Little Hulton and Heald Green, but to keep patients safe we have made the decision to hold the Winter fairs at new locations this year.

On Sunday 21st November the fair will be at Rose Walker Community Centre in Cheadle Heath and on Sunday 28th November the fair will be at Walkden Legion in Walkden. Both will take place from 12 noon to 3pm and it is just £1 entry for adults, with accompanied children free.

Coming along to one of our Winter fairs is the perfect way to kick off the festive season and they are incredibly popular with local families. Of course, as well as being a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, the fairs also help us to raise valuable funds to support our patients and their families. As Christmas approaches, we really want to make the time as special as possible for everyone we care for, and the money raised at events like these helps us to make a huge difference to their lives. They also offer people the opportunity to donate unwanted items, such as unopened gifts, bottles and chocolates that will help us to raise money to help our patients. It can be difficult to throw away an unwanted gift when you know someone has put time and effort into choosing it, and donating items like this to a local charity is a guilt free solution. We can find a new home for unopened toys, gift sets, chocolates and bottles and so on, so people can have a pre-Christmas de-clutter knowing that they are also supporting those with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Donations can be dropped off at the hospice’s sites in Meadowsweet Lane (off Peel Lane) in Little Hulton and St Ann’s Road North in Heald Green.
