The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

We're calling for people to hold a special gathering to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year, whilst helping to raise vital funds to support local patients.

By News Team on April 22, 2022

St Ann’s has benefited from many Royal connections over the years, from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother opening our hospice site in Heald Green in 1971, to last year’s visit by HRH The Princess Royal for their 50th anniversary. We’re asking people to hold a get-together with friends or family to celebrate the Queen’s 70th year on the throne, whilst raising money to help continue our care.

This is a fantastic chance for people to bring their community, family and friends together to have a royally good time.  Whether you want to hold a tea party at work or school, organise a street party with your neighbours, or hold a garden party for friends and family, we’d love you to get involved. To take part, you can join the hospice’s dedicated Facebook fundraising group (Celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee for St Ann’s Hospice | Facebook), call 0161 498 3631, or email fundraising@sah.org.uk

Everyone who registers will receive a free fundraising pack, which includes a hospice t-shirt, printable bunting, poster, money box and sponsor forms.

We’re here to support you every step of the way, and it’s really simple to get involved. Thanks so much – not only will it be a really memorable way to mark such a fantastic historical milestone, but every penny raised will make a massive difference to the lives of the local people we support. Rachel McMillan, Chief Executive of St Ann’s
