Tour de manc

The Tour de Manc race takes in the sights of Greater Manchester and invites all riders to enjoy the fantastic atmosphere at this cycling sportive, all while fundraising St Ann’s Hospice.

With four routes spanning from 50km to 200km, there are a variety of distances to suit riders of all abilities – the Quarter Manc 50km, Half Manc 100km, Classic Full Manc 100 miles, and Mad Manc 200km.

You can register to take part at www.sah.org.uk/TDM where you’ll be sent your code to sign up from St Ann’s Hospice for your chosen route on the Tour de Manc website.

David Rhead is taking on the Mad Manc route in memory of his dad who was a patient at the Little Hulton site in 2012.

David says, “I want to take on a challenge now that it’s been 10 years since my dad was a patient at St Ann’s Hospice to support them with the vital services they provide across Greater Manchester.

“I had no experience of hospices before my dad was a patient at St Ann’s, I really dreaded going there at first but I quickly realised I had no reason to. Hospices are lovely places, everyone there is supportive and really wants to help you. The staff can’t do enough for you and that’s something my family and I won’t forget.”

By registering to join the St Ann’s team through their website, you can get a discounted rate of £30 instead of £38.

With your discounted place we ask that you aim to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship. This will help to raise much needed funds for St Ann’s Hospice, so get everyone in your community supporting you!

Liz Greenwood, Capital Partnerships Fundraiser, says: “We’re really excited to see everyone cycling for #TeamStAnns, bringing together lots of people who are so brilliantly supporting our hospice.

“We’re hoping to have our biggest team yet taking part in the Tour de Manc. It’s a great day with everyone coming together to cheer on our cyclists. All money raised by our supporters goes to our Build It Together campaign, raising money to build our new hospice we’re so desperately in need of at our Heald Green site.

Make sure you sign up to take part in the fun!”

Danny Franks, Tour de Manc, says: “The Tour de Manc exists to help charities like St Ann’s and to help them raise vital funds. We’re immensely proud to have St Ann’s Hospice as one of our headline charities.”

St Ann’s Hospice will have stands at the start and finish lines to support all their cyclists, and will also be manning one of the refreshments stops on the Classic Full Manc and Mad Manc routes too.
