We are promoting our Build It Together campaign and our flagship event the Manchester Midnight Walk around Greater Manchester to get everyone involved in our fundraising.

Barbara and Debbie are both inspirational people who go above and beyond for our hospice. Both are featuring in our new advertising for our Build It Together campaign, as we try to raise the final £2 million we need to build our purpose-built hospice.

Debbie Barker has been using our services for the last five years after being diagnosed with secondary progressive MS and cannot walk and struggles to eat. She has been a day patient at our hospice for the last five years.

Debbie and her husband Craige are passionate supporters of the hospice, but they find it difficult to navigate the narrow corridors at our Heald Green site.

The Cheadle couple are excited to see what the new hospice will bring for patients, their families and staff. The new build will mean Debbie is able to move around the hospice easier due to its wide openings and doors, with both knowing it will make such a difference for them when at the Heald Green site.

Barbara Thackray is an 85-year-old grandmother who has been supporting our hospice for over 10 years. She has been fundraising for us since her late sister Audrey was a patient at the Heald Green hospice.

Barbara has raised nearly £20,000 for our hospice and is fronting our Build It Together campaign, encouraging others to donate so that we can build our new purpose-built hospice.

As an inspiration to many, we are so grateful for Barbara’s ongoing support and we always look forward to cheering her on at her races as she crosses the finish line!

Our Manchester Midnight Walk is taking place on Friday 9th June and we can’t wait to get our glitter and glow on to walk through the city!

You can still sign up to take a place on the walk and come together with hundreds of supporters to celebrate our hospice.

In the last 17 years of our Manchester Midnight Walk’s, we have raised over £2.3 million to help the patients and the families we support.

The sponsorship you can raise will help our hospice to keep providing specialist care to people affected by life-limiting illnesses across Greater Manchester.
