Corporate Fundraisers From British Gas Transform our Garden Area at Little Hulton
British Gas are one of our newest Corporate Fundraisers and they recently completed a team volunteering day at our Little Hulton hospice.
During their visit, 19 British Gas Engineers from all over the country arrived at the hospice, with plans to create a warm and welcoming area for patients and their families to escape into nature.
In order to bring their vision to life, they brought along all kinds of items, including hand-crafted wooden animals and stained glass windows created by local artists, as well as plants and garden furniture that had been kindly donated from other businesses across the UK.
But it didn’t stop there! They had even built their very own ‘hog-tel’ for hedgehogs to nest in, and a bug hotel to attract beneficial insects to our garden. They brought wind chimes, birdhouses, flowers and so much more.
Sara Moyson, Safety Assurance Engineer at British Gas organised the project and wanted to create a place where patients and their families could take time out and spend time in nature, whilst focusing on their beautiful surroundings in the new garden area.

The team truly went above and beyond to completely transform our garden and create such a beautiful, welcoming space.
What the team has achieved in just one day will bring so much joy to our patients, families and staff for years to come.
