MP Tom Morrison visited patients during a tour of St Ann's Hospice Heald Green.

Our Director of Clinical Services, Emma Dixon, took the new MP for Cheadle on a tour of our hospice, where he gained insight into the various departments and services that make up St Ann’s. The tour highlighted our commitment to providing a holistic approach to care for all our patients.

We concluded the tour with a conversation with one of our in-patients, another Tom, who shared his positive experience at St Ann’s.

We are grateful to have hosted Tom and to have had the opportunity to share insights about the hospice, its challenges, and our exciting plans for the future.

This was Tom’s first visit to a hospice, and before leaving, he said, “I’ve been blown away by the hard work that people do here and how positive it’s been; there’s great work happening here.”

He continued, “I’ve only been elected for the past two months, and one of the first things I wanted to do was come and meet the team here and find out what’s going on, not just here but across the borough. I’m really excited to see work already starting on the facility next door and can’t wait to see that develop as well.”

Chief Executive Rachel McMillan said: “It was great to be able to welcome Tom to St Ann’s and show him what we are all about. We are very proud of what we do here and to have the support of our MPs is fantastic.”
