Gifts in Wills event

Our special gifts in Wills event at the 4-star Hotel Football is free to attend and an opportunity to hear updates about the hospice, the care and services we provide and our plans for the future.

We will also talk about the huge impact leaving a gift in your Will has for the hospice, and hear from a local solicitor about how easy it is to make a Will and leave that special gift.

Refreshments will be provided on arrival plus a buffet lunch halfway through the event. You will have the opportunity to speak to clinical and non-clinical staff from the hospice and ask any questions.

Great Manchester Run 2026 (10km and Half Marathon)

Join our team in the 23rd year of the iconic Great Manchester Run on Sunday 31st May 2026!

The epic 10km or half marathon challenge is a highlight of our events calendar each year and an amazing way to support St Ann’s Hospice.

Anyone is welcome to come and join Team St Ann’s and take on the 10km or half marathon.

Charity places

For 2026, we have a number of discounted charity places available for the 10km and the half marathon for runners to claim. Every kilometre run and pound raised for St Ann’s will make an incredible impact on the services we are able to provide to local people affected by life-limiting illnesses. 

If you claim one of our discounted places, we ask for the following:

  • 10km: Registration fee of £5 to secure your place, with an aim to raise £200 for the hospice
  • Half marathon: Registration fee of £10 to secure your place, with an aim to raise £300 for the hospice

Registration fees and sponsorship will help us to raise vital funds that we need to ensure we can continue to provide our vital services to thousands of people each year at a time when they need them the most.

TrustFord Charity Test Drive

Take the wheel. Help your community.

Take a spin in a new Ford car or van at St Ann’s Hospice, Heald Green. For every test drive taken on the day, Ford will donate £30 towards St Ann’s Hospice* thanks to TrustFord Wilmslow’s Drive4URCommunity initiative.

All you need to do is turn up and take a spin! There’s no need to pre-book, but please register your interest at the link below.

Tea and coffee will be available to buy whilst you wait and there will be an opportunity to have a close-up look at the new hospice building.

London Marathon 2026

Join our team for the iconic London Marathon on Sunday 26th April 2026. Whether you’re an experienced marathoner or a first-timer, this is your chance to make a difference.

We have a limited number of places for the 2026 London Marathon. Register your interest now to be in a chance with securing a place and take on this iconic 26.2 mile challenge for your local hospice.

Nurses’ Day Spring Walk for St Ann’s

Join us to celebrate our amazing nurses ahead of Nurses’ Day 2025 (Monday 12th May) with a family-friendly 5k walk!

Our nursing staff work day and night caring for patients at both our hospice sites and in the local community, often going above and beyond and ensuring our their loved ones also receive the support they need. As we near completion of our new Heald Green hospice, help us kit out the nurses’ break room by taking part in our new spring walk.

In partnership with the Trafford Centre, the walk starts and finishes at the shopping and entertainment destination, taking in woodland and canals along the way.

Support our nurses by wearing a Team St Ann’s t-shirt or dressing in blue – fancy dress is welcome!

All finishers will receive a medal for their achievement and a goody bag.

Walk your own route

Can’t make it to the Trafford Centre? Gather your friends and walk your own 5k route of your choosing – you’ll still receive a medal!

Fundraising

Get sponsored to raise money for our nurses and our Build it Together new hospice appeal!

As we near completion of our new Heald Green hospice, help us kit out the nurses’ break room with comfy chairs for their breaks and tables to eat their meals.

Accessibility & further information

Children are welcome to participate but must be supervised at all times. 

Some of the route is alongside the canal and is mostly flat but includes mixed terrain, including some stony and uneven ground. Participants are advised to wear suitable footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.

St Ann’s Hospice Golf Day

Join us at the next St Ann’s Golf Day at Dunham Forest Golf & Country Club for a fantastic golf event to raise money for our Build it Together new hospice appeal.

Dunham Golf Club is one of the most beautiful golf courses in the UK and we are delighted to be returning here for the 2025 event. A light lunch is included, and relax after the main event with a delicious dinner.
