Cafe Volunteer
We're looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to help us in this sociable role which supports the hospice's catering team to provide a professional hospitality service in the Café to our patients, visitors, employees and volunteers.

Volunteering Hours
10.30 to 14.30 Monday – Friday.
We’re looking for support ideally one day per week or one day per fortnight.
Tasks and Activities
- Setting up and closing down.
- Cleaning tables, washing crockery and cutlery (in dishwasher).
- Restocking fridge and counter supplies.
- Taking orders for food and drinks.
- Preparing drinks
- Assisting customers with their food choices
Qualifications/Skills
- Ability to co-ordinate, prioritise and organise tasks
- Polite and friendly with great customer service orientation
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under the direction of staff and work as part of a team to deliver a high-quality service
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures.
Training
- Completion of hospice Mandatory Training
- Operating the Café’s coffee machine
