Take on London Marathon 2022!

We're appealing for runners to come forward who might be willing to take on the iconic London Marathon 2022 in aid of our patients.

We’re hoping that seasoned runners, as well as those who have found running a welcome outlet during the pandemic, will consider joining their team at next year’s iconic event, taking on the beautiful 26.2 mile challenge through the capital.

Those who join Team St Ann’s will receive a running vest, fundraising pack, training and nutrition advice and a dedicated team to support them every step of the way as they prepare for the event.

As well as St Ann’s places for the London Marathon, we’re also keen to hear from anyone who has their own place to take part who might be interested in raising money for local patients too.

Wherever you’re from, the London Marathon has a special appeal, with inspiring stories and individual feats of endurance something we’re all used to hearing and inspired by.  It’s an important fundraiser for us, and those who have run it in aid of our patients in the past have fed back how much they’ve loved being part of Team St Ann’s.  As we move towards the end of our 50th anniversary year, and start looking ahead to the next half century of care here in Greater Manchester, we’d love to hear from people who would be happy to take part and raise money to help us continue that support for patients.  As a charity that needs to raise £20,000 a day to keep our doors open, we are always incredibly grateful to anyone who helps us raise the funds we need.  It’s a really difficult task, but thankfully there are so many incredible people out there in the community who are – in this case quite literally – happy to go the extra mile to ensure specialist care for those who need it.
