Abseil down Trafford Palazzo with St Ann’s Hospice: “It was the best thing I did last year!”

On Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th June you could take part in the Trafford Palazzo Abseil and raise money for St Ann’s Hospice.

Lisa Roberts took on the challenge last year after her friend Gayle Shaw, our Corporate Fundraiser, recommended the event to her.

“My friend Gayle does so much charity work she’s very inspiring. I wanted to volunteer more and take part in events that raise money for the hospice. A very close friend of mine also passed away last year, which spurred me on to do a personal challenge that would put myself out of my comfort zone.”

“As I climbed up the stairs of the Trafford Palazzo, I was absolutely terrified! I really didn’t think I could do it once I got to the top, but there were so many supportive people who said I could do the challenge.”

For a discounted price of £30, you could take part in the largest abseil event in the North West this summer. You could be abseiling 170 feet down the side of Barton Square Tower with lots of other brave supporters!

“We ask that the minimum sponsorship you raise for this event is £250. The money you raise will help our hospice to keep providing specialist care to people affected by life-limiting illnesses across Greater Manchester.”

Lisa says: “I felt so proud of what I had achieved for the hospice and for myself. Raising money for such a great charity is what has inspired me to take on the abseil again this year.
