St Ann’s Hospice raise over £30,000 at the swinging-ly successful day at Dunham Forest Golf & Country Club

A fantastic day of fundraising for St Ann’s Hospice took place at Dunham Forest Golf & Country Club in May which raised an amazing amount of money for the charity.

The annual event is a highlight of the fundraising calendar and this year we saw our teams of corporate supporters and friends braving the rain to compete for the trophy.

The total raised from the day was £30,045, which is an incredible amount that will have a huge impact on the charity for their patients and loved ones.

The headline sponsor of the day was Bhim Ruia Foundation and the event gold sponsors were UHY Hacker Young and JP & Brimelow.

St Ann’s Hospice is very grateful for Dunham Forest Golf Club’s support, hospitality and for sharing the grounds with them.

We are thrilled that so many teams joined us for our annual golf day. We had a real mix of teams taking part from all sorts of local businesses and other individuals and groups of supporters too. Some of those who came along have been supporting the golf day for many years, and others were first time entrants. We’re so grateful to everyone who came along, and also to our headline sponsor Sunil Ruia, Trustee for the Bhim Ruia Foundation for his amazing support in sponsoring this event again. This year the winning team was a group from Domis Construction, who were presented with a special trophy in honour of their achievement.

A raffle on the day, giving participants the opportunity to win a selection of luxury prizes, raised additional much-needed funds for the charity – which must raise around £20,000 a day to keep its services running.

Celebrity auctioneer, Adam Partridge, provided his expert auctioneering skills to the auction in the evening.

The one-day event, which was held at Dunham Forest Golf & Country Club, was open to all levels, giving teams the opportunity to practice their putting and sharpen their swing whilst raising vital funds for local patients.
