Take the plunge this New Year’s Day
You can start 2024 with a splash in Salford Quays all whilst raising money for St Ann’s Hospice.
We’ve teamed up with Uswim who are running their long-established, 13 years and counting, New Year’s Day swim on Monday 1st January at Dock 9, Media City, Salford Quays.

Marie Foster, Innovation and Digital Fundraiser at St Ann’s Hospice, says: “I’m really excited to partner with Uswim for this amazing event. It looks like great fun and a brilliant way to start 2024.
“I hope that this addition to our events calendar will encourage lots of supporters to take the plunge, raising lots of funds for the hospice.”
For adults (16+) entry is £25 and for young people aged 7-15 years entry is £5.
David Quartermain is the founder of Uswim and a supporter of St Ann’s after his mum was cared for by the hospice in 1993.
My mum’s death felt very private, our family was there when she died, and it felt homely and personal, which would’ve been very different in hospital. St Ann’s Hospice was the best place she could’ve been in at that time. David Quartermain, founder of Uswim
“We are proud to be partnering with St Ann’s Hospice for our 2024 New Year’s Day Swim, where we hope to see many people raising vital funds for the charity.”
