12 Days of Festive Fitness Bingo

Will you accept the challenge to complete 12 Days of Festive Fitness this December for St Ann’s Hospice?

We are challenging you to get sponsored to complete our Festive Fitness Bingo Challenge from 1st to 12th December! 

Exercises can be done indoors, in your own time and at your own pace.

There is no registration fee and we’ll send you a free St Ann’s Hospice Santa Hat and Festive Fitness Bingo card! 

Every penny you raise will make a difference to our patients and their loved ones.

How it works 

  1. The challenge starts on 1st December and runs until 12th December.
  2. Join lots of other St Ann’s supporters in our private Facebook group and follow the instructions to register for the challenge.
  3. Once you’ve registered, we will send you a “12 Days of Festive Fitness” Bingo card and a FREE St Ann’s Hospice Santa hat to wear throughout the challenge.
  4. Complete your daily exercise challenge and join in the festive fun sharing your progress in the Facebook group.
  5. Ask your friends, family, colleagues and neighbours to sponsor you throughout the challenge.
  6. Don’t worry if you’re not on Facebook you can still register here.

  • What is the 12 Days of Festive Fitness Bingo all about? 

The 12 Days of Festive Fitness Bingo is a fundraising challenge for St Ann’s Hospice. Join lots of  incredible St Ann’s Hospice supporters in taking on 12 Days of Festive Fitness from 1st – 12th December.  You can complete your exercises indoors, in your own time and at your own pace.  The important thing is to get moving to raise funds for those who need us most. 

  • How do I get started? 

The first thing to do is to join our Facebook Group.  Click Join Now to register, get your free Santa hat and bingo card and meet the other amazing fundraisers also doing the challenge. 

  • Do I have to be on Facebook to take part? 

You can still take part if you aren’t on Facebook by registering with this link and then setting up a JustGiving page. However if you are on Facebook, it really helps us if you fundraise through that platform. We’re a small team and using the platform helps us provide you with more support and it helps us streamline our admin.  

  • Do I have to use Facebook Fundraising or can I set-up a JustGiving page? 

As the challenge is being run through Facebook it would be great if all participants could fundraise through the Facebook fundraiser provided as it helps us to easily monitor the event and to minimise costs. However, if you prefer to use JustGiving, please register for the challenge using this link.

  • Can I just set up a JustGiving page? 

To set up a JustGiving page, please click Start Fundraising from this link 

  • Is there a minimum fundraising amount? 

For this challenge we have set a sponsorship target of £150 however we just ask that you set up a fundraising page and do your very best! Your fundraising will go to St Ann’s Hospice and help us to continue to provide our services. 

  • Can I be sponsored by someone who is not on Facebook? 

If someone would like to donate to your challenge and they don’t have Facebook the best thing is to collect their donation offline and then donate it directly to your fundraiser yourself.  We will also provide paper sponsorship forms when we send out your Santa hat and bingo card.  Alternatively people can donate online here and put in the comments that they are sponsoring you. 

  • How should I track my exercise? 

We will send you a bingo card which lists the daily exercises, so you can tick them off each day and share with the group and on your fundraising page.

Overseas Treks Information Evening

Global Adventures and St Ann’s Hospice are holding an information evening at St Ann’s Hospice, Heald Green to provide more information and details about our upcoming overseas treks, the Spanish Three Peaks and the Inca Trail in Peru*. The treks are raising funds for the hospice and take place in autumn 2026.

Judith Baignet from Global Adventures, who run the treks, will be delivering a short presentation and answering any questions.

Light refreshments will be available.

*Other 2026 treks are available on request.

Firewalk

Want to do something amazing? We are looking for brave “soles” to take on our fundraising firewalk.

Can you take on the challenge to hotfoot it over 20ft of wood embers burning at 1236 degrees Fahrenheit and fundraise to support our patients and their loved ones? The only thing holding you back is YOU!

You’ll be in the safe hands of a Blaze ‘Fire Master’ instructor who will take you through a motivational Fear Buster session prior to the Firewalk, helping you to leap into this challenge feet first!

Imagine how you will feel after Firewalking – if you can walk on fire, what else can you achieve if you put your mind to it?

Walk 100 miles in September Challenge

We are challenging you to get sponsored to Walk 100 miles throughout September.  You can walk in your own time and at your own pace.  There is no registration fee and every penny you raise will make a difference to our patients and their loved ones. 

We’ll send you a free Walk 100 miles t-shirt for you to wear with pride throughout the challenge! We would love as many people as possible to join in and raise what you can to support the patients and families we care for.

Yes! We are happy for you to make the challenge personal to you, so if it makes sense for you to include those steps, we are happy for you to do so.

It’s completely up to you! There are lots of apps and trackers available and we will send you a paper tracker, so you can use good old fashioned pen and paper, why not ask others in the Facebook group how they are tracking their miles? 

  • I’m not able to complete 100 miles – can I still take part? 

Of course! This challenge is for everyone and every mile you complete will make a real difference, the important thing is getting out and raising vital funds for St Ann’s Hospice.

Camino de Santiago Trek

The Challenge

Join St Ann’s in autumn 2025 on the classic Camino de Santiago experience, trekking the Camino Frances (the French Way). Your final destination is the magical Santiago Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the stunning Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

Duration: 5 days, 3 of which are trekking

Distance: Approx. 67km

Fitness: The trek is graded as challenging but achievable with training beforehand. A training guide will be provided on sign up.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 – Depart UK
    We depart the UK for Santiago airport and transfer to the outskirts of Santiago de Compostela for our overnight stay. Here we enjoy dinner and a good night’s sleep before starting our trek along the famous Camino Frances.
  • Day 2 – Palas de Rei to Arzua
    After breakfast we will be transferred to the town of Palas de Rei – the starting point to our Camino trekking adventure! From there we head downhill along the Camino trail, passing the charming villages of Casanova and Leboreiro. From here we cross several small streams and follow a forest track bringing us to the village of Boente and the church of Santiago. Next, we trek through the medieval hamlet of Ribadiso and arrive in the town of Arzúa, famous for its local cheese. Here we have time to relax and explore the old town, including the idyllic churches of Santa María and A Magdalena. We will transfer back to our accommodation in Santiago for dinner and our overnight stay before transferring to Arzua in the morning.
    Trekking distance – approx. 30km
  • Day 3 – Arzua to Amenal
    Following breakfast, and our transfer to Arzua we continue through beautiful woods, sleepy villages and across small streams. The chapel of Santa Irene with its unique statue of Santiago is one of the beautiful sights we will see along the way. We continue through the lovely hamlet of Rúa along calm country roads and forest tracks to Amenal, our overnight stay. We transfer back to our accommodation in Santiago for dinner and overnight stay. Return transfer to Amenal in the morning.
    Trekking distance – approx. 21km
  • Day 4 – Amenal to Santiago
    The final day of our ‘French Way’ challenge. Our first destination is Lavacolla, set along the outskirts of Santiago where pilgrims used to wash themselves in the river in preparation for their arrival to Santiago de Compostela. From here rows of tall eucalyptus trees line our journey to Monte do Gozo – and we can then catch our first glimpse of the spires of the cathedral of Santiago. Reaching our destination, we reflect on our triumph over the last few days and enjoy the sights of Santiago’s Old Town – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasting stunning architecture and a fantastic atmosphere. We take a short walk into our final nights’ accommodation in the centre of Santiago.
    Trekking distance – approx. 16km
  • Day 5 – Return to UK
    Following breakfast, we will transfer to Santiago Airport for our flight back to the UK.
    Please note this is a complex itinerary and subject to change, including the timings and distances detailed.

London Marathon 2025

We have filled all our London Marathon places for 2025, however if you have your own place we’d love you to join #TeamStAnns and get all same perks for running the 26.2 mile iconic challenge for your local hospice.

Salford Triathlon 2025

Could you take on the Salford Triathlon or Aquabike for St Ann’s Hospice?

We are honoured that this year’s Salford Triathlon and Aquabike is supporting St Ann’s and we’re encouraging supporters who love a challenge to get involved in what promises to be a fantastic event.

Manchester’s premier Triathlon and Aquabike offers athletes of all abilities top class racing on fast, flat courses around the bustling MediaCityUK, Salford Quays.  With distances from sprint to standard, including relays, there’s something for every regular superhero. 

The Triathlon involves a swim, bike and run in that order and the Aquabike is a swim and bike but no run. Something for everyone!
