Stockport Frog auction

The 21 gigantic frogs that made up Stockport’s Gigantic Leap Frog Art Trail throughout the summer and seven of the One Stockport frogs that took up residence across the borough have hopped out of Stockport to prepare to go under the hammer before hopping of for pastures and ponds new!

Taking place at Stockport County’s Edgeley Park ground, this is your chance to net yourself your very own frog. Did you have a favourite frog? With 28 vibrant frogs to choose from, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

The auction, conducted by Simon Charles Auctioneers, will take place at Edgeley Park on Wednesday 10th November from 6pm. A welcome drink and canapés will be served as visitors have the chance to see all the frogs together in one place for the last time before they go under the hammer at 8pm.

This year, we’re so grateful that all proceeds of the auction are being donated to St Ann’s Hospice as we celebrate our 50th birthday year.

Stockport’s Gigantic Leap Frog Art Trail 2021

This year at St Ann’s we’re celebrating our 50th anniversary and there’s been so much going on already to mark our magnificent milestone but now we’re very excited to be part of this frog-tastic art trail!

We’re proud to be the beneficiary of Stockport’s Gigantic Leap Frog Art Trail 2021 that will see 21 gigantic frogs hopping into Stockport town centre from 24th July until 26th September.

In 2019, Stockport’s first frog trail attracted thousands and thousands of new visitors, residents and families of all ages to the town centre, so we’re thrilled to be involved this year.

We hope that lots of excited children (and big children) seek out all 21 giant frogs on the trail and have a ribbiting adventure!

We’re really grateful to Totally Stockport, Stockport’s Business Improvement District, for choosing us to benefit from the proceeds of the trail.

Giant One Stockport frogs will be hopping out across the borough too, so keep your eyes peeled to see how many you can spot!

For more information go to: https://stockportsgiganticleap.co.uk/

If you join the trail and would like to make a donation to St Ann’s, you can donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/frogs21 – thanks for your support.

St Ann’s garden at The Manchester Flower Show

A woman wearing a St Ann's white t-shirt looking up at handmade forget-me-nots which are strung above her from the garden.

St Ann’s Hospice is one of the oldest and largest adult hospices in the UK. This year, we’re celebrating 50 years of caring for patients and their families in Greater Manchester.

Manchester leads the way in so many areas – and as a hospice we are proud to lead the way too, providing world-class care from right here in this amazing city.

Our garden in The Manchester Flower Show has been created by a team of our volunteer gardeners, creative therapists and Girlguiding volunteers under the direction of hospice supporter and garden designer Maria Stripling, and visual artist and designer, Lynne Duric.

Come and see us in King’s Street, Manchester

Set amongst perennial planting in raised beds crafted from the pallets used to deliver PPE in the past year, the garden also reveals some little-known aspects of hospice care. This is a garden that shows the depth of the care provided to all who pass through the hospice’s doors.

Our garden is only made possible thanks to our generous supporters:
