European Doctors’ Orchestra Conducted by Peter Stark

The European Doctors’ Orchestra is made up of musically talented doctors from across Europe. They have played together in concerts all over Europe and on 20th October they will be coming together to perform a concert to celebrate the human spirit at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester.

Several of the musical medics work locally and have had both personal and professional experience of the hospice. We’re delighted that they’ve selected St Ann’s to benefit from the performance, donating all proceeds from the ticket sales to us.

Enjoy the orchestra’s performance which includes a choral piece with the St George’s Singers – one of the finest choral societies in North West England.

So book early to ensure that you get the best seat at The Bridgewater Hall to watch a full orchestra and choir performing three pieces of stirring music in aid of the hospice.

Tickets are £22.50 (£7.50 under 18 and students)

Tickets available from The Bridgewater Hall Box Office in Manchester or telephone 0161 907 9000 or via their website: www.bridgewater-hall.co.uk

Event details

Take part in our ObstaColour Run, which combines the fun of colour and obstacles! You will be showered with multi-coloured paint as you walk, run or jog the 5km route taking on lots of exciting obstacles along the way.

It takes place in Woodbank Park on Sunday 15th July and the waves begin at 11am, you can select the next available time slot during registration.

The whole family is welcome to join us at this event, children under five go free, so it is a great thing for families to get together on a Sunday morning and take part in to support your local hospice.

Once you have registered we will send you a dedication ribbon. On the ribbon, you can write the name of someone who means something to you and tie it around your wrist on the day. As you cross the finish line, you will see the Tree of Dedication where you can hang your dedication ribbon.

Please note: The colour powder (a safe, environmentally friendly cornstarch) is not recommended for anybody under the age of 3 but the two colour stations can be avoided. A few of the inflatable obstacles may not be suitable for all ages but anyone can bypass them if they’re not suitable or should they prefer to.

Unfortunately, in bad weather, the grass area in the park can become very muddy.  In these circumstances, the ground would be unsuitable for pram and wheelchair users.

Dress code

Start in white, end up bright! Please wear clothing that you don’t mind getting colourful. The colour is 100% natural and should wash out in a normal washing machine cycle however we can’t guarantee this.

We will provide free glasses to protect your eyes from the powder paint.
