Jeff’s story

“I have volunteered for St Ann’s for four years, supporting the Online Sales Department with listing items on eBay and other platforms for one day a week. I don’t live far away from the Distribution Centre in Reddish where the team is based, and saw the role advertised in the Stockport Express. 

“I volunteer to help the hospice and also increase my knowledge and learn about eBay, so it’s two-fold. I check the prices of items that are donated to us, sometimes take photos, then list them in our eBay store. 

“I retired early to look after a parent and would really recommend volunteering to meet people. It’s better than staying in! Plus you get the knowledge and new skills – you might become an eBay millionaire through learning at St Ann’s! 

“It’s a friendly atmosphere, the people are lovely to work with and we’re well looked after. It’s a pleasure coming in. I would recommend it to anyone to help St Ann’s and try to raise money for the hospice.“
