Shop Manager (Charity – Bridal and Vintage)

 

Job Description

We’re looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic retail manager to play a key role in generating vital funds to enable St Ann’s Hospice to meet the unique physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of those with a life-limiting illness.

As Shop Manager, you’ll be leading and managing all operational aspects for one of our busiest Charity shops, notably our renowned Bridal Department offering new and pre-loved wedding dresses in our 3-story store in Stockport’s vibrant town centre.

Key responsibilities

Your primary focus will be achieving sales and income targets while delivering exceptional customer service….

  • Recruiting, managing and motivating staff and volunteers
  • Assisting brides in finding their dream dress
  • Participating in Bridal Fayres
  • Contributing social media content to promote Bridal sales
  • Curating vintage stock
  • Promptly addressing social media inquiries
  • Processing sales and donations

 

If you’re right for us, you’ll bring:

  • Educated to GCSE (9 x A to C / 9 to 4 grade) or equivalent.
  • Have previous retail experience.
  • Have an awareness of retail trends and the value of donated items.
  • Be able to operate an electronic till.
  • Have experience of working towards targets.
  • Be able to meet the physical demands of the role

 

If we’re right for you, you’ll be looking forward to:

  • Salary of £23,580 per annum (Competency based framework)
  • 5 hours over 5 out of 7 days
  • 35 days annual leave rising to 37 after 5 years and 41 after 10 years (inc. bank holidays, pro rata for part-time employees)
