Tilly’s Story
Young supporter Tilly Taylor from Wigan has chopped off more than ten inches of her hair to raise money for St Ann’s Hospice and Wigan and Leigh Hospice.
Seven-year-old supporter, Tilly was determined to cut her long locks to a short bob to raise money for the hospices, making the decision just a few months ago. She chose St Ann’s as her mother, Lisa, is a Hospice at Home worker there. Tilly also decided to donate to Wigan and Leigh Hospice after her uncle Stephen and great uncle Ray received care there two years ago.
We are so proud of Tilly. She is such a caring girl and just wanted to do something and raise money for a charity that is important to her. Lisa, Tilly's Mother
Tilly has raised nearly £700, beating her original target of £200 in just a few days. Despite having had long hair all her life, Tilly was really excited to cut it off and raise much-needed funds for charities, especially during these difficult times.
I am happy to raise money for poorly people and I was really excited to cut my hair. Tilly, Supporter
Lisa described Tilly as being a very kind-hearted girl who wanted to make a difference to hospices that offer care and support to those who need it the most.
Hospices bring so much comfort during the most trying of times and now, more than ever, Tilly would like to help them as much as she can - with your help. Lisa , Tilly's Mother
