Light up a Life appeal

Dedicate a light to someone you love this winter.

Our 2023 Light up a Life appeal has now ended – thank you so much to everyone who donated. If you would like to make a donation to St Ann’s, click here.

Our Light up a Life appeal is a way for us to remember our loved ones at this special time of year.

You’re invited to join with others in our community in dedicating a light to remember and to reflect this winter.

Make a dedication online this year by adding a light to our Winter Forest, along with a photo, message or memory, and you’ll be able to share your dedication with friends and family online.

The donations which you make with your dedications mean that patients and their families can continue to receive the very best care.

Hear from our supporter Dave about the care and support his twin brother and ‘best mate’ Terry received, and why he’s dedicating a light in his memory this year. You can read their story here.

St Ann’s were there for Terry and us when we needed them. He stabilised once at St Ann’s and even found a new lease of life. He loved it there and they loved him. Dave Callan, Supporter

This year we’re holding our six beautiful services of remembrance in person once again. We would be delighted if you could join us.

When you dedicate a light online, you will be able to choose which service you would like to attend and how many places you would like. Please click the links below for further information on each service.

If you have any questions about the Light up a Life appeal, services or your dedication, please contact our Fundraising Team on 0161 498 3631 or supporter@sah.org.uk.

Bereavement support

Many of us welcome talking to others when a person who is close has died – and usually rely on friends and family. But sometimes it can help to talk to someone who is not so closely involved. This is where we can help. Find out more.
