As an Assistant Manager you will support the Shop Manager and be an integral part of a small team responsible for handling donations, pricing items, and creating appealing displays. Your role will encompass various responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the shop and provide an exceptional customer experience.

Your role will be essential in maximizing sales, providing outstanding customer service, and leading a dedicated team of volunteers.

Your efforts will directly contribute to our mission of delivering first-class palliative and outpatient care at both of our Hospices.

The Role

  • Provide exceptional customer service, and handle enquiries and in a timely & professional manner.
  • Boost sales through effective merchandising and promotional activities.
  • Manage stock, both donated & new; researching, pricing & promoting.
  • Support daily operations e.g. opening / closing, handling emails, health & safety standards.
  • Assist in creating engaging social media content.
  • Assisting in volunteer recruitment, training & supervision.

Requirements

  • GCSE (9-4) level or equivalent.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service, ideally in field related to fashion.
  • Experience of clothing brands & fashion trends, with the ability to identify high-value items.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and 365.
  • Creating and posting engaging social media content.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.
  • Experience working in a charity shop or non-profit organization is a plus.

We are looking for an enthusiastic assistant manager with a passion for customer service to help and support the manager at our shop in the centre of Stockport.

The Role

  • With our focus on Bridal wear and Vintage goods, our store is a unique destination for shoppers. You will play a key part in promoting our vibrant social media presence and helping to showcase our distinctive offerings to maximise sales and help generate vital funds to support the work of the hospice.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, dress recommendations, style guidance and information about bridal looks, dresses and accessories, taking measurements, scheduling fittings.
  • Support the Shop Manager with daily operations, including cash handling.
  • Help create and manage social media content to promote sales.
  • Assist in recruiting, training and supervising volunteers.

Requirements

  • Retail Experience (in the charity sector would be advantageous) including operating an electronic till.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Customer facing experience in a service role.
  • Interest in Visual Merchandising.
  • Flair for pre-loved bridal fashion and all things ‘vintage’.

We’re looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic retail manager to play a key role in generating vital funds to enable St Ann’s Hospice to meet the unique physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of those with a life-limiting illness.

As Shop Manager, you’ll be leading and managing all operational aspects for our well established shop in Altrincham’s bustling town centre.

Key responsibilities

Your primary focus will be achieving sales and income targets while delivering exceptional customer service….

Job Description

We’re looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic administrator to play a key role in supporting St Ann’s Hospice Trading Company to meet our collective targets and generate the vital funds needed to enable St Ann’s Hospice to meet the unique physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of those with a life-limiting illness.

Key responsibilities

 

The Retail Operations Administrator will support our retail and distribution teams in promoting retail activities and events, ensuring services and supplies are delivered as required, responding to queries and supporting managers….

 

  • Respond to retail queries by telephone, email and face to face
  • Administer the retail Gift Aid processes
  • Collate retail sales information
  • Order and distribute office and retail supplies, including raising relevant purchase orders, checking invoices and maintaining records
  • Organise the distribution of all post, fundraising literature and marketing materials
  • Provide till log on details for staff and volunteers
  • Facilitate the monitoring of Volunteer training activities and maintenance of training records
  • Assist in the co-ordination and organization of maintenance tasks,
  • Maintain filing systems, operational records, complete reports and take minutes

  • Minimum of GCSE/iGCSE grade C/4 (or equivalent)
  • Administrative experience in a busy office environment
  • Previous experience of working with customers

Volunteer Shop Assistant

Volunteering Hours:

Various hours (Minimum 3 hour shifts) Monday to Saturday 9:00am – 16:30pm

We’re also seeking individuals (over 18 years of age due to safeguarding requirements) who want to contribute on a more flexible basis and be part of a supportive volunteer crew. No need to commit to specific hours or fixed schedules – we’ll simply reach out to you whenever we need an extra pair of hands or assistance with events. Department and Location of Volunteering Role:

Purpose of Volunteering Role:

To help raise vital funds to support patients with life limiting illnesses and their families across Greater Manchester by;

  •  Sorting through donations of clothing and bric a brac.
  •  Preparing items for display and creating vibrant window and in store displays.
  • Giving excellent customer service and using an EPOS till (Full training given)
  • Updating shop social media pages to engage with local communities.
  • Promoting in store sales and promotions.
